My boss has asked me to sell his 2010 disco HSE FSH with 47,000 miles he is second owner was demo car has privacy glass and towbar been offered £27,500 from dealer should I take it or should I stick it on Autotrader?

When your boss asks you to do something, do you normally do the least profitable, easiest, least work intensive solution? If so, yes! Hit the dealer bid.

no as he always gives me a cut but when it comes to 30k cars unless they are supercars private sellers struggle to sell them, he was offered £22,000 from a dealer and expected me to get £26 000 from a private sale, thought I got a good deal for him but the dealer seems very very keen which gets me thinking that I have undersold the car

It looks like a £33-35k car from a dealer, so £27.5k isn't a bad opening gambit.

You might get £30k for a private sale, but I can't see it being a quick sale. As you say, most buyers will want dealer facilities and all the customer protection that comes with that.
