Evening all,

Yesterday I scraped the bottom of my car and I have bought the paint today (yellow) and have sanded down with 1500 sand paper and re-sprayed, I have a few run marks, should I wait to dry and then sand off the runs and respray? Also how many coats should I be doing? Should I sand between coats if I dont get runs?

Thanks

Did you primer first? Coats of yellow should be light and built up.. yellow is a very hard colour to match. Should get a professional to do this for you really

Its only a small underside scrape not very noticeable although quite long so wasn't really worth getting done professionally. I did not primer no eek

Should i sand down and re-spray then to get rid of runs? And after that I wont needed sanding just plenty of light coats?

Flat runs when dry.Do light coats and dry with a heat gun but not too close. Also buy a tack rag which you use to wipe the area you are painting between coats to stop build up...
