Having quite a bad problem now with my Supercharged AYGO - when you slow the car down, the car doesn't idle properly at all times and sort of drops power (even the lights dip slightly) and then picks back up, and drops again etc. The car also stalls when idle sometimes. Someone help! Pretty peeved off as I haven't thrashed the car at all and have only covered 450 miles so far since having this done.

Also the engine feels unusually hot (a lot hotter than when the car was stock) even when driving slowly. It has an intercooler fitted which seems to have been working.

Hi, sorry but I can't help on the problem. But seeing it is quite a modded engine, it would be a good idea to ring up where you had the work done and get them to have a look at it?
Also I think the choice of car and supercharger is very cool smile

Check for air leaking from the pipes/gaskets. I had a gasket go on my supercharged civic and the revs would constantly rise and fall at idle.

Do this. Could be one of many reasons. The supplier should have some clues...

Does sound a bit like an air leak. Not sure on the spec of the charger but I guess at idle you'll have vacuum in the manifold, so the leak could be anywhere on the inlet side. One way of finding it is to spray WD-40 at the joints - if the revs rise significantly the WD-40 is being sucked into the engine and burnt, and you've found the leak.

Stupid question but presumably it has been mapped and has the timing correctly adjusted?

i would be thinking that perhaps the drag from the supercharger is overcoming whatever stabilises the idle.
