Hi,

I'm about to put my TVR on a specialist insurance policy and they don't take into account NCD.

I have 10 years NCD now and I don't want them to expire. How long are they usually valid for? If it helps, I'm with Admiral. And I'd rather not have to find their phone number, go outside, sit in a queue for ages and speak to someone at their call centre who has no idea anyway!

Hopefully someone here can give me a quick and easy answer!

I'm thinking of insuring a track car and use the NCD on that. On the lookout for a Clio 172 Cup or something but it won't be for a few months yet.

Thanks,

Dan

When I took the bike of the road the insurer told me the ncd was still applicable if re insured within 2 years.

2 years, that would be good, thanks.

Yup, two years is the usual - just took out a new policy using my NCD after a gap of 23 months...

Yup. Found this out to my chagrin after losing a 9 years NCB, plus 6 years of driving about in a couple of company cars.

15 years accident free, Zero NCB. frown
