OK I may just be being stupid, but I've just spent 10 minutes trying to find anything related to performance figures on the Audi web site for an A1 Sport 1.4TFSI cylinder on demand S-Tronic (don't ask...).

Nothing.

Fuel consumption? Oh yes. Emissions? No problem sir, here they all are.

You want to know how it goes? Oh no, I don't think you do really...

And with the very next click I found it! biggrin

Typical.

132mph and 7.9 sec to 60, just in case you were wondering...

Quite quick little machines these, for fiddly B-road work anyway! DSG box keeps the little engine on the boost, lots of grip available, just needs someone to keep their foot in.

So you think they falsified the NEDC test then?

Remember quoted MPG is for NEDC to act as a comparison to other vehicles. The sad thing is NEDC doesn't really represent real world use all that well, however if you drive similar to the test, then there is no reason why you shouldn't meet or exceed the claimed figures.

I know we're all supposed to hate Audis like sheep, but it's actually a pretty impressive little car. Decent performance, low emissions, good on fuel, very lovely interior, and to a reasonable spec £20K-ish.

If you don't need the space, just decent front seats and occasional rears it has a lot going for it I think.

Surely if you don't need the space and only occasional rears, then a 2+2 sports car would be the sensible choice?

I'm sure I have seen this particular suggestion before...now where was it?
