Seems fair enough. He was asked to move them onto private land, out of the publics way, and he didnt comply, so they were removed fo him.

First link doesn't work.

Second one the page needs revising.

I'd remove the reference numbers and address too.

Am I right in thinking you have parked a load of cars pretty much permanently on land that you don't own that runs down the side of your house ?

I can see that people would not be happy at a business owner (or even private owner) using land like this. Yes, it's "only" a lane, but it's (presumably) not the car owner's lane.

OP, can you give some more details, as your website is reallly not much use?

anybody know how is this challenge-able reversible?

any help greatly appreciated time is running out
So, you parked several cars without permission on someone else's property, and they objected. You ignored multiple written requests to remove your cars. Now you're all upset because they've had the cars removed. Right...

Also, some of the others are borderline, but a KA is a classic car now?

TBH it looks like someone has been had bang to rights, even despite being UK English, zoinks!

As above, I fail to see the issue with taking the cars after multiple attempts to communicate with the owner.

Google maps gives a pretty clear view that this chap parked a number of scrap, uninsured, untaxed cars on the grass verge of what looks like an unsurfaced service lane to a number of houses. Many of the cars were adjacent to the rear fences of several other houses.

The house identified in the linked letter looks like a st tip, boarded or rotten windows and obviously not looked after in anything like a proper way, with a garden full of rubbish. It could double for one of those TV programmes on mad rubbish collectors who ps off their neighbours and adversely affect the neighbourhood.

The local council has done exactly the right thing.

Tough st! If the owner seriously believed that he was not in contravention of section 215 he should have appealed. He did not so he lost his cars.

Meanwhile at a car auction near you…

From the list I would question the 'classic status' of all but one of the cars. Sounds like a dumping ground for a load of old tat to me (although I appreciate that views differ on what constitutes a classic - one man's pleasure and all of that)

I know West Bridgford well - 29 Gordon Road is opposite the parade of shops and is a predominately residential area.

Do you own the land that the cars were kept on? If not, I am afraid that I hold the view that you were given ample warning to move them and you chose not to. As such, you are going to have to suck it up.

They must have been sufficiently 'visible' to have caused offence to other residents? I wouldn't want to have to look out over a load of rusting old cars on a daily basis.

I have now seen where the cars are parked, and the shops opposite. I stand by what I said.

Ok - having looked on Google...

If I was your neighbour I'd have complained to the Council about that too.

My Dad is a Classic car dealer and his yard was full of stuff like that but the point being that the land was was owned by him and none of the mess could be seen by anyone else.

If I haven't got sympathy for you - no one on here will.

To the OP, my commiserations.

It must be really hard being that bloody stupid.

Dumping cars on land that doesn't belong to you, making access difficult for others, ignored the request of the council to move them and then complain about losing the cars you dumped?

UK English family too, maybe the daily mail can do something for you?

Took the council at least 6 months to move them, plenty of time for the owner to move them.

Fact that his neighbours had difficulty accessing their own garages and gardens shows how much of an inconsiderate prick this person is and deserved to have the vehicles removed, not like it was a bolt out of the blue!

Genuinely surprised that the OP has not contributed further.

Perhaps he thought that the response he would receive would be more sympathetic given the demographic involved.... wink

I love threads like this.

I think the OP was expecting everyone to get on their high horses about the injustice of it all!
