Datsun 240Z: Time For Tea?
Another absorbing Petrolicious film, featuring one of Japan's most iconic cars

Owner Dave Scholz describes the style of his 240Z as akin to those that belonged to guys 'that would have driven to Fuji Speedway from Yokohama for a race'. To that end, there's a few little tweaks, including a gorgeous set of RS Watanabe wheels, a Nardi wheel, Recaro seats and some T3 suspension upgrades.
The Rebello-fettled straight six is now producing around 300hp and just sounds epic. The inherent smoothness of the configuration can be detected beneath a wailing, crackling, screaming exhaust. It's glorious.
Dave also outlines his plans for preserving the 240Z, suggesting it's probably a keeper. After this video, we can easily understand why.
Almost my perfect car - Lovely looking 2+2 Coupe - creamy six banger running open sidedrafts - stick shift in the middle and a free breathing exhaust that goes from lumpy idle to screaming howl
I just settled for an alternative from Europe

Then they made the 280zx
and it got worse. Why, oh why can't they make cars like them again?
