McLaren 12C MSO: Pic Of The Week

Autumn's getting serious outside so keep your desktop bright and cheery with a colourful McLaren

What a difference a lick of paint makes, eh? For those who found the McLaren 12C a bit too serious and clinical the firm's Special Operations division has an answer: bright orange paint. And lots of carbon trimmings.

As we discovered when we drove it, the 12C is transformed from the bookish, technology obsessed nerd into a proper extrovert supercar able to turn heads from half a mile and, by the reactions we got, just what people want.

And if it's not, that's fine. MSO will happily discuss other options with you.

For now though enjoy a bit of Papaya Spark to liven up your desktop as the autumnal gloom descends...

I spotted one of these when out for a stroll with the kids in Villefranche Sur Mer (France) a black one back in July. I wasn't a massive fan of them but in amongst all the Ferrari and Porsche the McLaren really stood out and the fact it is British is the icing on the cake.

I wish Mclaren huge success with there entry into road cars.

I'll have one in Candy Apple red if anyone wants to give me one!!
