MODS - I've placed this in GG, because many of the PH insurance experts are bikers and perhaps don't frequent the Trackday Forum, which seems to be the reserve of car trackdays, therefore please don't move. Cheers.

Whenever we go on a trackday, we leave ourselves open to 3rd party injury claims, which could be very significant if the worst should ever happen. Whilst the likelihood of a claim is very small as it requires both negligence and an injury, the risk still exists, and it's something I would be keen to insure against.

Why do such policies not exist in the UK, the insurance capital of the world? By all account they are quite common in Europe and are not expensive. Is it just that there's never been enough demand, or is there a genuine business reason why they are not offered?

Just to be clear, I'm only talking about insurance for injury or death, not damage to property.
