Does anyone have any advice about replacement aerials for DAB radios in cars? I used to use a magnetic one stuck to the roof, but that needs a messy wire draped out the door. The glass mounted ones are no good to me either as I need good reception.

I see some roof mounted aerials for sale, described as generic ones. Does this mean they will fit most cars with a bog standard roof mounted FM/AM aerial?

Something like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-in-car-FM-DAB-...

But they seem to be rare, whereas I would have thought them to be standard for most DAB radio installations.

I normally fit these:-

They normally fit straight into the hole the roof mounted aerial has come from but not always.

Depending on connections and whether the original is amplified you may have to run all three wires from it to the stereo.

I had seen those thanks. The fact they fit 'most' cars is good too. Running the wires doesnt especially scare me and it seems that the 6004 or 6003 or 6001 might do. Would you happen to know the difference between the 3? They all score 6 stars.

Thanks again.
