Exclusive Jaguar R Performance event
Join PistonHeads and Jaguar at Oulton Park next week!

Billed at the R Performance event, it will come as no surprise to learn that we'll have the pinnacle of the Jaguar range available to sample including XFR, XFR-S, XKR-S, XJR and the XKR-S GT. A stellar line up you'll surely agree, and here's everything you need to know about each car:
The XKR-S is an extreme expression of Jaguar’s passion for building beautiful, fast cars. The effortless performance of its supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, combined with a bespoke fuelling map means the direct-injection powerplant now produces 550hp and 502lb ft of torque. Extensive tuning has ensured that power delivery and performance are seamless, contributing to a 0-60mph time of 4.2 seconds. The performance active exhaust encourages and rewards the enthusiastic driver with dramatic, motorsport-inspired aural feedback.
The XKR-S GT, developed by Jaguar’s Engineered To Order division, is the ultimate road-going but track-ready version of the XK coupe. The XKR-S GT features bespoke aerodynamic components and suspension developments to increase downforce and optimise high-speed cornering ability. It will reach 60mph in just 3.9 seconds, develops up to 145kg of downforce, and is the first production Jaguar to be fitted with carbon ceramic brakes. Production will be limited and just ten examples will be sold to UK customers, making it the rarest ‘R’ model in the 25-year history of Jaguar’s R performance cars.
The XFR-S is Jaguar’s fastest, most powerful and agile sports saloon ever. Power and torque of the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 have been increased to 550hp and 502lb ft – up 40hp and 41lb ft over the XFR, and with no impact on fuel consumption or emissions. The XFR-S will sprint from zero to 60mph in 4.4 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds) and on to an electronically limited top speed of 186mph. An eight-speed transmission with ‘Quickshift’ functionality enables optimal acceleration throughout the speed and rev ranges. Electronic active differential and Dynamic Stability Control systems have also been recalibrated to enhance handling characteristics.
XJR
The 550hp XJR – Jaguar’s new flagship sports saloon – combines supercar performance and assertive looks with the high levels of luxury already associated with the XJ range. It is capable of sprinting from zero to 60mph in 4.4 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 174mph. An eight-speed automatic transmission, with a bespoke tuning for the XJR, enables optimal acceleration throughout the speed and rev ranges while still maintaining a composed character for urban driving conditions. A new front splitter and aerodynamic sill section combined with an additional rear spoiler and unique ‘R’ bonnet louvres give the car optimum levels of high speed stability and an assertive appearance on the road. Electronic Active Differential and Dynamic Stability Control systems have been calibrated to enhance handling characteristics, allowing the driver to fully exploit the XJR’s true performance capability.
We'll meet the lucky chosen PHers at Oulton Park at 10.30 where they will be able to take the cars on track, under expert tuition, through to 14.30 with lunch at 12.30 being the only reason to pit!

I don't know what these cars are.

I don't know what these cars are.

I know the blurb says otherwise - but when I drive a £2,000 VW am I realistically even likely to get selected?

ETA - when will we find out? Just need to book the day off if I'm one of the lucky ones.
Also, just realised there's no F-type there. I know they're technically not an 'R', but would have loved a blast round Oulton in the V8S. Have a word Garlick
