CD Autochanger dead. MP3 Instead?
Discussion
Not sure where to put this Q really, but here goes..
My CD Autochanger is dead. I'm missing not being able to play mp3's in the car, so is there something I can plug in instead, ideally controlled from the same controls as the old cd changer? The head unit doesn't have any aux / usb / MP3 type input.
Probably wishful thinking but worth a punt.

Yep, sound quality is not the best but at least you can have tunez:

Otherwise get a new headunit.

I think what the OP may have is a cd changer in the boot or under the passenger seat in addition to the head unit. As I understand it, they're asking if they can replace the cd changer with an mp3 compatible device using the wiring to the cd changer.
Yes, this, in the boot. Non-standard size headunit so I'm looking to use the existing headunit and replace the cd changer with a magic box of wonder and ting, or a new lead to sit between an iPod and the existing cdchanger leads. jkh112 said:
Connects2 produce plug and play modules which allow MP3 players to be connected to standard head units in place of cd changers. You will need to search their website or contact them to see if they have a module for your car.
I've dropped them an email, thanks.
