I'm not saying the user reviews on AutoTrader are unreliable, but I have noticed that pretty much every car listed has at least four stars. I've just had a quick scan at some cars that I would have expected to rank pretty low but no, at least four stars for everything it seems.

For example, I give you the Rover City Rover which, according to owners, is a four star car. biggrin

So here's a Friday challenge for you Pistonheads, who can find the lowest overall rating from the user reviews on AutoTrader?

3.5 smile but it is hard to find a low mark - odd!

Oh yes! Good thinking.

I have found another 3.5, the Chevrolet Lacetti:

Not really sure if Autotrader thought this one through. Great for buyers if the reviews are real and fair but pretty poor if you happen to have an, as reviewed, crap car for sale.

Do you think they may, could have, possibly, maybe tweaked the review system?

Blimey, never even heard of that.

Sport... laugh

Nevertheless, it does seem a little strange how well reviewed the majority of cars are.

Perhaps it could be down to the low standards of the general car-buying public, or even a lack of willingness to admit they've made a poor purchase. I would have thought people would be happy to express their dislike of previous cars they've owned though so it is puzzling.

Or perhaps it really is true that you can't buy a bad car these days, and pretty much anything will satisfy most people.
