Main Dealer Service - Re-dressing the Balance

After numerous posts bashing main dealer practices I thought I'd give a shout the other way.
Wife's BMW MINI Cooper S. Clutch biting point at the top of the travel and slipping.
Mini Emergency transported it in. Call from dealership (Sytner MINI) stating that after checking they found the following:
Clutch needs replacing
Dual Mass Flywheel knackered
Front tyres borderline (which I knew)
2 leaking gaskets.
I'd taken out extended warranty but was prepared for the usual fight.
They initially quoted £300 ish for the clutch plus £500 ish labour and £240 (fitted) for the 2 tyres.
No price for the flywheel or gasket replacements (warranty may cover).
I gave the go ahead for all the work apart from the tyres. I checked around and the best I could do for tyres was £210.
They rang the next day to say the warranty would cover everything apart from the retail cost of the clutch which was considered wear and tear. I then asked them to replace the tyres and do a full laser tracking job.
Total bill including £100 warranty excess came to £805.
On collection the bill had reduced to £753 somehow.
Can't fault them.
