Why does the porsche panamera's looks get bashed so much?

The Panamera is dismal looking. Most porsche design is. They need a new idea.

I think it's because Porsche had the chance to moveaway from the 911 design as there was no valid reason not to and they chose to make it look like a stretched version.

I think they look OK and the interior is lovely. its

No idea whether it's "cool" to hate it, I've never been entirely sure what "cool" means and I'm certainly not sure what "hate on" means.

I dislike it's looks because I think it's monumentally ugly, personally - the proportions are all over the place. The estate version they mocked up was a nice looking thing - it should have been an estate from the start, IMO.

Look at one side-on, with the base model wheels, and you'll see why. It's just ungainly. In my opinion, of course.

You posted the rear end as if it was it's good side, but actually it's got a huge wide ugly ungainly backside, horrible disproportionate side profile, and the nose of a 911 that has been in a minor crash.

Not many redeeming features IMO.

Its an horrendous looking car imo. Truely awful, no class, messy, I wouldn't have been surprised if they said this is the new top of the range luxury Hyundai.

Personally i dont think it works as a bodystyle.

I understand why they wanted / should / had to make it, but it wouldnt do it for me.

Hmm, noooo. I haven't watched top gear in around five years; I despise the show mostly because of Clarkson... and the Panamera is still monumentally, mind-bogglingly, ugly.
