DVLA V5 error - how do I correct it?
Discussion
Hi all,
I bought a VW Transporter at BCA auctions from the leasing company who were the first owners a few weeks ago.The V5 C showed the model as a Passat but all the rest of the details re engine, tax etc were correct. The V5 has now turned up and shows the same.
It is clearly a DVLA or possibly dealer error and is something that I've heard and seen at other BCA auctions on 4 or 5 Transporters over the last few months.I assume it may be a code error at the DVLA as its always been a Passat that they've been registered as incorrectly.
The question is what is the best way to sort this out and has anyone got any tips having been through the same issue? My thoughts were to contact the supplying dealer - Cooks Vw - and get a letter confirming the VIN and reg number were allocated to a Transporter,if they will help.
Thanks for any help.
