I was amazed at how someone can get so angry, this morning.

The Astra in the video went past me and a Mondeo at a set of lights, but it would seem the Mondeo didn’t like this and sped up, neither willing to yield to filter into one lane.

The Mondeo driver was then a bit cross, tailgating the Astra driver, beeping and flashing his lights. At the end of the video the Astra turns right, so does the Mondeo.

However when I go past, the Astra changes his mind to follow me, the Mondeo then follows the Astra, which makes me think “what’s going on here then”.

Unfortunately the cars are now behind me so not in the video, the road is a short dual carriageway (40mph limit), so the Mondeo pulls alongside the Astra for a few seconds, then pulls in front to stop it.

The Astra is having none of this and tries to get past, the Mondeo tries to stop this by swerving across the two lanes to stop the Astra getting past. I eventually lose sight of them because they are coming to a stop, both zig-zagging across the road.

Does the action in the video really warrant this reaction? I think not, it’s crazy. Also wonder if I should have stopped, and hope there was no fisticuffs (both were chaps btw).

Just thought I’d share.

Good quality on the dash cam, what make is it? the Mondeo drivers head is fried before he even gets to work, what a prick.

Could this have started before you arrived?

Mondeo appears to put himself (by speeding up as the astra approaches) in the position where the astra is to his right and his lane disappears.

For this he gets very angry indeed.

There are some total loons on the roads these days.

Mondeo is a douche. Astra was already carrying the speed to pass easily.

No, I followed the Mondeo for a while, he was pressing on but I always caught him at the lights.

The Astra was new on the scene.

Mondeoman is a knob.

Although Astra driver should not have stayed alongside Mondeoman if he hadn't the "go" to get past. Mondeo left the first lights quite smartly. Astra never really looked as though it was going to get past safely, though, despite the original advantage of a rolling start. So, shouldn't have bothered. Then all would have been peaceful!

Just give the video to the police and let them take the appropriate action.

Really, from what's in the video, what could they do?

If indeed it did escalate, and police became involved however unlikely, this video would make for excellent evidence.

This. Both idiots, both driving aggressively. If both were defensive then it would never have happened.

What does the Mondeo driver think L2 is for?
