Aston Martin V12 Vantage or Mercedes SLS, which is best?

Both of these are fabulous cars, both are now comfortably under £100k for used examples. If you were going to treat yourself to one or the another, which would it be and why? Has anyone been lucky enough to own both?
The Aston is beautiful and there can't be many more fully manual V12s ever made again. The Mercedes has the outrageous looks and the party trick doors. They are probably the main thing that makes the car so special, but are they ever so slightly embarrassing at inappropriate times, meaning the novelty wears off? Then there's the Ferrari 599 too! Which would be the best long term keeper? Over to you!
