The MK 1 and 2 Escorts were RWD

The MK 3 and 4 was FWD

The Mk 5 was RWD or 4WD from the factory

So any other cars which could of been bought in any wheel drive from the factory?

Not sure about your claims on the Mk.4/5 - they were all FWD (not RWD) really, as the Cosworth was built on a Sierra then adapted to take Escort panels.

The Beetle had each drivetrain at one point or another.

I'm wondering if the Jag X-Type had them all too?

Did Audi ever make a RWD A8?
Early ones were FWD or 4WD, not sure about the later ones.

Not exciting or interesting:

Ford Kuga: FWD or 4WD
Also Nissan Quasquai has a FWD or 4WD option.

I guess there are a few - if different generations are taken into account:

Nissan Sunny/Pulsar
Toyota Celica
Mitsubishi Lancer
Nissan Bluebird
Mazda 323
Vauxhall Cavalier
Mazda 626
Toyota Starlet

I'm sure there are more; but apart from the Cavalier all the ones I could think of were Japanese. I suppose some of this is down to the fact that they recycle names. European cars tend to change names, for example For produced rear and four wheel drive Sierra models, then front drive Mondeos. If they had kept the Sierra name a bit longer they'd make the list.

However they aren't the 'same car' by any means. A Mark One Escort, from the first example, has nothing in common (bar the name)with a Mark Five. The same goes for my list. I wonder if there are cars that have all three, but more in common like body panels?

Mg zt/rover 75?
They developed the rwd platform specifically for the v8 they made. Did they ever do 4wd?

Interesting...

Different generations, that's easy - Vx Cavalier as mentioned above started as a rwd mk1 then became fwd in the mk2 and then there was a 4x4 model or two.

Same mk/generation though... Can't think of one off the top of my head.

Only the Cosworth and RS2000 were 4x4. I don't think there were any models of the MK5 that were RWD.

I think that was a typo.

Ford also made a 4WD MK1 Mondeo. Seems they produced the 4WD versions of cars that no-one asked for, but will not make a 4WD Focus RS!

Isn't the OP about cars that had RWD and FWD and 4WD at some point? As in all 3? Not just 2? Otherwise there's loads of cars that did either a FWD and 4WD, OR RWD and 4WD at some point.

MG ZT had FWD and RWD, which is the next best thing to all three.

Now that's an interesting one.

I wonder if it's the only car ever to have done that.

Nope. The 75 did too.
