These wkers are up there with the people who fail to indicate at a mini roundabout, in terms of people we should deport.

Last night, NSL road, some stupid bint in front in her fking hairdresser mini was on the brakes every 50 yards. She'd speed up to the car in front, brake, drop back, speed up, rinse & repeat.

Didnt help that those fking brake lights on the mini arent even red, they're fking pink.

Cool starry bra.

My pet hate is morons who fail to switch on their lights in the evening.

Yes idiots.

Some cars, when on cruise control, will put the the brakes on automatically although the bint in your case seems to be an idiot.

Drivers riding the brakes and/or stabbing at them every time something happens is probably one of my biggest motoring bugbears. And yes, the pinkness of MINI brake lights annoys me too.

It's an easy mistake to forget about the lights on lit roads with modern cars which have their dash lights on all the time and just use a silly very small lights on indication on the dash if you're used to the old cars which only put their dash lights on together with the lights.

Some people (mostly female in my experience) seem to use the controls in a digital fashion, on or off and nothing inbetween.

Similarly I hate following people who are driving far too close to the car in front of them so they have to keep hitting the brake every time the car slows down. Long journeys for these people must be really tiring, not to mention the extra brake wear and fuel consumption they must suffer.

Yes, to dry the brakes, although they won't light the brake lights when doing it.

Just be glad, they are helping economies of scale.
The more brake pads sold the cheaper they become.

Oh I agree totally with all you say however if I vapourised all annoying drivers I would have the roads to myself!

I hate people who sit with the foot brake on at junctions dazzling me.
Drivers who are on the left to turn right at junctions stopping me and visa versa.
Drivers who gradually creep forward instead of just stopping.
BANG I have exploded.

Years ago I learned how to deal with these mongs, both on A and B roads, and on motorways. It has also dealt with the propensity of my blood pressure rising too.

The simple solution I have found that works best is - if you can't safely get past them, then just drop back hugely so that they are hundreds of yards in front of you. Or even so far as to be out of sight.

This way, you don't get wound up by the constant flashing of laser brake lights, and your buffer is so big that you can drive at a constant pace, and not have to react to their digital stop - start style of driving.

Works for me.

Welcome to the M6 southbound from the M62 to Junction 15 stoke on trent, on a Monday morning from 6 am onwards.

There is a stream of cars in the 'fast' lane with digital controls. Me ? I'm usually in the 'slow' lane NOT braking and undertaking them.

I'm thinking that adaptive cruise control, intelligent sensing, and the like, will solve this problem. In the future cars will decide the distance between you and the car in front, and there will be nothing you can do about it to reduce it. If some one cuts you up, and slots into the gap, your car will brake, and his (because he is too close to the car that is in front of him) will brake too.

Driving is going to change so much in the next 20 years.

What about corners that can be taken at least doing 150 mph in black ice.

Car approaches at 40 mph brakes on and off on approach, through out and after.

I don't mean that; I mean they apply the brakes if the car is "running away", down hill for example, to slow it down and the brake lights come on.

It's already available on normal family cars like the Passat... Bloke at work has one, and it frequently brakes, just before he was about to.

I was thinking more about the future of driving as a collective.

Even worse on the motorway. frown

Almost certainly associated with individuals who appear to be incapable of demisting their windows, turning their lights on in the rain or once the rain is over, the wipers will continue full blast over a dry screen.

Anyway, at least these people are SAFE. After all, they are driving below the speed limit. yes

People always on the brakes are normally the types that come to a full or near full stop at roundabouts with no traffic coming from the right.

I've noticed that many people who drive in the dark with no lights on are driving cars I know have an automatic headlight function that they must have taken the decision to switch off thinking they don't need it. They think they know better than to allow the car to perform functions for them when, in reality, they're the last people who do.

Another thing that annoys me is people who drive around with lights not working, including many marked police vehicles. It must be about one in five cars I see on the road come winter.
