80mph+ winds forecast; worth moving car away from trees?
Discussion
How much tree damage do you reckon these winds will cause and is it worth trying to park your car somewhere else in which case?
We park under a pretty substantial conker tree which should probably be alright, but I'm tempted to try and move it somewhere a bit safer. Trouble is there's a lot of them 'round 'ere.

You're fighting sods law. Move it away from the tree and roof tiles or wheelie bins will attack it instead.
This is true superhangon!Yep I'm serious, we've got a car port which protects them from all the conkers and little branches but I wouldn't be too confident in it's ability to defend against one of the bigger branches.
This storm sounds pretty bad but didn't know if it's just the usual sort of thing where you get the odd old tree or half dead branches coming off, or whether there's gonna be some fairly major carnage..

Is 80mph wind in 2013 more potent than previous years? Suggest putting lots of cushions on the car just in case.
Seriously.
Ah yes of course, I should really refer to the detailed surveys I undertook of the 3000 people who parked under sturdy looking trees during those storms of the exact same wind speeds...Seriously.
