Heading on a road trip of Scottish driving roads soon and was going to setup the go-pro for either time lapse of the entire journey or just some good bits. What interval should it be set at?

I'm looking for a 5 to 10min vid (finished edited vid) which can either be of the full 20 hour trip of select pieces of driving road.

Not done it before so was looking for some advise so I don't cock it up.

I've got a 32gb card and two batteries, it's a Go-Pro Hero 2.

Cheers,

You need roughly 20 frames a second to make it watchable, so a 10 minute video is going to need to be about 12,000 frames.

That being the case, a shot every 5 seconds would give you the required frame rate for the whole run, but may be too jerky..

Hi thanks for the input, I just found this which is helpful:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMrcq0cTjeU

It shows in 0.5, 1, 2 and 5 second intervals.

I might just record the fun bits and use 1 second intervals?

Dunc.
