Hello. I'm looking into buying some driving gloves for the occasional AutoX. I'd like to stay below the 100 USD mark. Fire resistance isn't required.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Are you talking about 'race style gloves.....ie nomex and bright colours' or some leather and string backed gloves?

If you want "racing driver" gloves but don't need fireproofness, then look at the karting gloves

Sparco, OMP etc

The one thing that's important for me, beyond grip, is that they must be comfortable when it's hot outside, which is, 90% of the time where I live. I tried OMP karting gloves and they were very uncomfortable.

I don't know what's the difference between leather gloves and "racing gloves", so I can't really answer.

Do you get "Alan Partridge" in Israel?

Alan Partridge wears driving gloves

Alan Prost wears racing gloves

I think you can get warm weather karting gloves, not sure

I'm not sure which would be better, leather gloves or something like Alpinestar's. They need to grip the wheel, that's all. Today I had an opportunity to try on some Nomex Alpinestar's, and they were very comfortable. Not sure how they'll grip the Miata's steering wheel, though.
