I've just reg checked my friends Audi to see which engine he got, and the tax details were as follows...

Tax Status: Licence Not Due
Expiry Date: 01/10/2014
Registration Date: 22/10/2013
6 Month Cost: £0.00
12 Month Cost: £30.00

So how does that work then? Doesn't seem to make any sense.

You can't buy a 6m tax disc for a car that is in the £20 or £30 tax band.
