Quick question, where do you lot buy your tyres? Black circles seems to be my cheapest option at the moment, but I don't really know any other similar websites, so I can only compare prices with the likes of kwik-fit, and local garages. Cheers!

camskill.co.uk are cheap, but you need to get a local garage to fit them for you.

phone your local independent tyre shop, and get them to match the price. be sure to include fitting and delivery costs though. I have always found local dealers to be about the same price when you haggle a bit.

Micheldever tyres. In the middle of nowhere in Hampshire yet reckoned to be one of the biggest suppliers in the UK with 14 fitting bays. Used them for years. Always a wait for fitment, and don't even think of going on a weekend.

Incidentally, for you lot who come to Le Mans there's a place even cheaper on the Mulsanne straight!

I use eventtyre.

A long time back I used a cheap wholesale place.
It was only later I checked the tyres and found the dot code to show the tyres were 7 years old.
Cheap because they had been shipped on as old stock from Europe where they were too old to sell.
Stick with a reputable seller - but still double check the dot codes.

Scratched both rims, lost my valve caps, and put weights on that didn't clear the calipers. All in all, about the best there is. grumpy (Another tyre fitter in Salisbury did the nuts up so tight, the stud necked down and snapped off!)

Torqued my wheel nuts to gawd knows what (well, well north of what they should have been) and crossed a nut. Put a completely mismatched nut on and asked me 'what I expected' when I complained.

I find Formula 1 to be very good. There's normally a voucher knocking around for a few % off, then cashback through Quidco - makes them very reasonable.

I use my local Tyre Warehouse - Every time I've been in the prices are either the same as or lower than camskill etc and they include fitting. They also have a Hunter for full Geo.

Hmm, seems things aren't what they used to be at Micheldever then if the above is anything to go by. My last purchase there for the Mercedes was 3 years back though.

Just got 4 new Goodyears from lovetyres.com

Beat blackcircles by over £100, although did not include fitting. But even at £15 a corner, will still have saved about £60.

I always use a good independent.

I've never had a good experience with national, or online chains.

I bought from a leading website a while back and when the tyres were fitted, the fitter said to me "you might be interested to know that the tyres I put on there were older than the ones I took off".

I'm having to replace them now as they are mis-shaped and not aging at all well, though there is loads of tread left. These were P Zero Rossos so not a budget tyre.
