Automatic window up/do retro fit??
Discussion
Hi folks,
I'm a bit lost here. Right Mrs Olly has a Mini with the windows that automatically go up and down by 10-15mm when the door is opened and closed, this feature is a little scatty at times but I digress.
The reason for the post is I have a Saab 9-3 convertible and the window rubber has over the years started to foil the window slightly resulting in needing to drop the window and then shut it to allow the window to seat correctly. The though I had was, is it possible to retrofit the Mini's auto up/down to the Saab? Or is this a fancy program built in the ecu etc? I am looking for a way of elongating the life of the window seals and the glass as I fear a ham fisted passanger may one day shatter the window.
The car is off road at the mo so I can fully strip if needed. So PH massive, any ideas or any piggy back modules that I could integrate to the Saabs door/window that would allow the glass to drop when I pull the handle and then raise when the door latches shut?
TIA folkies
Olly
