has anyone organised a party/mini festival for 250 people?

Hey folks,
A bunch of friends and I are looking at holding a rather large 40th birthday party in a scenic spot in New Zealand.
We are hoping for around 250 people to join us, a mix of adults and kids, for a three day/night party. We will be camping on a friends farm, so services are pretty basic.
And before you ask, yes, don't worry, your invites are all in the post..
I was wondering if anyone had experience with logistics of for this sort of event, we are just looking for some basic information on how many portaloos, showers and other facilities we will need, how big a kitchen will we need and that sort of thing.....
Does anyone have experience in largish event logistics and can share some standard ratios/requirements?
