I've experienced this twice in the last week with dealings with local businesses and it's getting a little frustrating. They are not big businesses and nothing is written down just word of mouth but still I think I'm old enough and savvy enough to remember a very simple conversation.

I visited my local gym 3 times before committing and joining as I believe anything done in haste is usually wrong. So after asking what classes are included they said all the ones that aren't in the back room. Fine, happy with this I joined and turned up to be told 'oh you need to pay for this lesson' even though it was not in the back room? Feeling mugged off I paid and tried to enjoy it.

The local garage just tested my shed for it's mot and again me trying to get the info before committing unlike my usual silly self when I usually just rush in I said is there a retest period if it fails and how long is it? 10 days is the grace period if it fails. So it fails like I knew it would and then am told it's only a free retest if I get the work done at their place?

I'm only being more thoughtful about my choices since I usually just rush in with things and hope for the best but is it ok now to just outright lie to people to get the sheckles in the till then outright go back on what you said? Starting to think maybe big companies with policies and everything outlined in black and white might not be such a monster after all.

Hey ho not a big problem really just interested on anyone else's experiences or thoughts on the matter.

Disco You
