I updated my photo card part of my drivers licence in July 2012.

I have just looked at it today and it expired 2 months later.

So my photo card (which I paid £29 for the privilege of updating), has been expired for over a year

Why would they send me a license that's only valid for 2 months?

My overall licence doesn't expire until 1955

Well he was 70 in 1955 so he's 128 years old now.

It expired nearly 60 years ago if it's 1955 (or have you got McDonalds on the brain? http://thelobsterclub.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/... )

The update to change your name/address etc will not change the 10 year rolling expiry date which is to update the photo as you get older.

I changed my address in February... the Photo card still expires September 2014

Changing the details on it doesn't renew it unfortunately. It still expires on the original date.

Change of address is free though, surely? Not sure about change of name.

That would be Driving Licence, then?
