BMW ones are not made of magic stuff.

They are just re-branded Bosch (or whoever) parts with a big uplift applied.

Does happen on occasions.

My brother had an early 335D Convertible, as they were discovering the wheel cracking issues.

Needed a tyre, and no one could supply one. Was on back order as munfacturer had been hit by something or other.

BMW ended up putting him in a hire car before finding a tyre (I suspected at the time that somewhere in a compound was a car without a tyre) two days later....

My BMW 5 series needed them ,£65+ vat + fitting at the stealer.

Same blades from the Internet £28 inc vat , delivered next day.

No brainer.

I'm sure they are - but if you can find me a wiper that looks like this and fits with the simple single pin arrangement:

Rather than some abortion with an adapter (Michelin too, not some cheap crap) like this:

I'll happily buy it.

If the price difference is £37 (as the post above yours suggests) then I'd have the abortion and half a tank of petrol, thanks.

The fact that the parts are in stock as opposed to being unobtainable just sweetens the deal.

Oli.

The Michelin ones are 28 (being refunded).

The BMW ones are 40, and well worth 12 extra (fittng not required, new design is a masterpiece in simplicity)

Petrol would be very bad for the car, and I dont know where you buy yours from but half a tank is quite a bit more than that!

Assuming it is a 6 series:

http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/bmw-6-series-years-20...

Suggests that Valeo are the OEM ones:

There are pictures of the fitting so does that match your existing BMW brand ones?

The other options also have close ups of the attachment.

Thanks very much. Yes all of those need an adapter sadly. Lots of sites arent even showing the 2012 on 6 series!

I've been using the £6 ebay ones for a few years now, change them every time I do a service (although I don't really need to)

Had the Bosch ones and for 5 times the price they perform the same.

Good find, that looks spot on. Trouble is, the lengths for the 6 are different, and that site doesnt list the current shape 6 series. Odd.

Didn't he? Maybe it was Petrol? It was definitely a convertible, as I was busy laughing at him being trailered away with his runflats.
