'03 Saab 9-3 Linear 2.0 - question about airbags
Discussion
This morning I have been to look at a Saab 9-3 Linear.
The car appears to be running fine and overall condition is average.
However, an airbag warning light is on.
Now my question is, could this be a major expense with this model - or are there any known airbag issues with these?
Car is on sale for £1295 with 117k on the clock - it also requires a service apparently.
I suspect I could knock some money off - but don't want to buy trouble.
Any thoughts anyone?

There is a "known fault" with the wiring loom connector under the seat. At one time Saab even produced a 3" or so "patch" cable to lessen the strain on the connector - no longer available, I suspect. Worth unplugging and reseating to see of the fault clears after a couple of re-starts.
Worked for me (twice!) but the 3rd time I needed AirBagMan to come and clear the fault (£40 + VAT)
Of course it could be that one (or more) of the airbags is actually bu**ered.

Buggered airbags would be quite unlikely though??Worked for me (twice!) but the 3rd time I needed AirBagMan to come and clear the fault (£40 + VAT)
