Hello all

Posted in here to try and get a bit more coverage, but I guess it should be in home mechanics or Ford section.

The bonnet release cable in my mondeo diesel has snapped, and it looks like it's in the engine bay, I'm guessing at the catch as the cable is still intact and attached on the release lever.

I've had a ferret around with a screwdriver through the grille, but can't for the life of me see how to get to release it.

Could someone post up a photo of the catch and cable attachment in the engine bay please...I might have some idea where to aim for then.

Any help appreciated.
cheers
Ant

3rd hand knowledge: Take the drip guard off under the car and then you can get your arm up around the radiator to the two 10mm nuts that hold the latch on.
