A B7 RS4 Avant has been appearing on my street over the past couple of months or so. It's a very cool car and I've never had a proper nosey around one before. I don't know who's got it though, and I was thinking about leaving a wee note saying along the lines of that I'm a petrolhead neighbour, and introducing myself.

I think this is a good idea, but I'm aware others may find it a bit odd - so should I do it?

Hmm, bit weird. Better off just saying hello if you see who it is.

Drat, that's what I was afraid of.

Thing is, if the situation was reversed, I wouldn't find it weird.

Ah well, there goes that idea!

ETA: Coming from "shifty"dave, that speaks volumes hehe

Again, I don't think I'd find it creepy if someone did it to me (sorry, I don't drive an RS4 though) - but I can see how someone else might think it a bit odd.

Depends on the individual I guess. If an enthusiast, they may be flattered, if not, they may find it odd or creepy. No harm in trying though?

Personally, I wouldn't, but a note is better than following someone home from Birmingham City centre to the outerlying districts for about 12 miles near midnight...just because they wanted to know where you got your HID's from.

There's some strange people out there.
