A V8 Spyder. The tl:dr summary is that it is a very impressive car that I like a lot, but that I wouldn't swap.

First impressions

After a week of normal driving and a weekend of motorway plus some of North Yorkshire's best roads

Don't drive the V10. It makes the V8 feel like a warm TT, where as the V10 feels like a proper car.

Definitely this. The V10 is fantastic, the V8 just feels like any other warm Audi.

I drove one and was very impressed, not apocalyptically quick but still pretty fast by any standard, a bit gutless low down, well, V10 is the real super car, V8 is kind of supercar lite, I think considered as all show, no go but I think that is unfair and happens to every car where they bring out a more powerful version. I think it is a car that could be quite cost effective to own, fairly (by the standards of the class) standard engine so not too ruinous to run, depreciation seems to have all but stopped, buy one at the right price and I reckon you could own it for a year and barely lose any money, limited supply and desirability seems to protect the residuals when they get older. I was surprised how much fun these are, doesn't fit the Audi stereotype.
