I currently drive a car(mr2 mk3) which has 6" wide alloys all around. The Toyota factory fitted 6" wide in front, 6.5" wide in rear. I run 205/50/15 tyres in rear on 6" rim, 195/50/15 in front on 6" rim.

Will running rear wider rim affect the car handling? It is only half inch wider which sound not much...

It'll take some of the compliance out of the tyre wall if the wall becomes more vertical.. If you see what I mean? If the wheel was a lot bigger or smaller the wall is at more of an angle so can deflect easier. Offroaders often go smaller wheel for this reason. I don't see it killing you!

You will be hard pushed to tell any difference at all. 205 is well within it's limits on a 6.5J rim.
