I recently bought a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R. It was cheap. The headgasket blew shortly after having it. I opened it up to replace it and found some HKS camshafts. Nice surprise and got me thinking, I decided to drop the sump and was confronted with some HKS pistons and Arrow conrods, using ACL bearings and ARP bolts. That lot would have cost over £2500. I don't know how it ended up in my car the last few previous owners couldn't have known about it and nothing on the car suggests it'd have a nice engine (chinese K&N copy, standard turbo, running standard boost, etc). I'm thinking it must have come from a scrap yard who didn't know what they had.

Anyone else had something similar?

I found a lump of hash in the headlining of my first campervan.

It was enough for three healthy joints according to my "mate" Frank..."

A rather tasty set of Bilstein shocks and springs on an MX5. Found them too firm for day to day use but made a tidy profit swapping them to standard and selling them on.

I forgot, a truly fantastic piece of musical history was left in the multi-changer of my LS400: Chris de Burgh's Greatest Hits.

I doubt that was left behind by accident.

The previous owner of my LS400 left me some random freebie CDs from the daily mail

My first 106gti. Ticked over rather lumpy and went like stink (off the clock on private road and kept going). Never did find out what had been done to the engine but after it meeting its doom one cold winters evening, I decided that i had to buy another as it was a lot of fun. Much to my disappointment the second one which was standard was nowhere near as quick and nowhere near as much fun.

Chris de Burgh must be popular with Lexus owners.

Found one of his CDs in a used car prep, although it was a copy and was spelt Christie Burgh on the CD lol

It's not black and from Staffordshire/Cheshire off a young lad called Chris is it? Know someone who's sold one recently...

I was walking on a beach and found 5 kilos of ambergris.

The rest is history.
