Hey guys,

I have a Turbosmart manual boost controller fitted to my Legnum VR-4, Would I realistically gain anything from changing it for an electronic boost controller?

Cheers

Depends on what electronic controller you get. It will be easier to adjust boost when you want to, you may be able to set up custom levels and switch instantly between them, or even have setups that feed in the boost progressively, with full control over the boost curve etc.

Not really. I had a manual controller and it was rock solid, kept the boost exactly where I wanted it all the time. Changed it for an HKS something or other and just couldn't get it right. I changed this for an Apexi AVCR, really quite good piece of kit with lots of easy to use functions but for £200+ I always asked my self "do I really need all these flashing lights" the manual controller ultimately did the same job and was much easier to use.
