My gf step dads new car came back with no info when i entered it on the app or when i did the text your reg thing. I was curiousa as to what bhp it had. Its a skoda octavia and he said he got it cheap so abit concerned as hes abit clueless on cars.

Have a look at taxdisc.direct.gov.uk

That will tell you if the DVLA recognises the plate. Not on/recently been on a private plate by any chance? The various databases can take a while to catch up. Also try and get an insurance quote on it.

Its come up with car details on that link but the vehicle status is "license due to expire". What does that mean?
