I've got a deposit down on the BMW i3, but swaying more and more towards the Tesla Model S.

Has anyone got any idea as to when they'll be available at all (any model)?

And if so what kind of leasing figures have people heard of (or indeed got!)?

Figure for the price jump from the i3 to the Tesla it may be worth it in the long run for me. Although of course it is more expensive!

I think it is supposed to be March/April time next year.
I gather there are no lease deals available either at the moment, but check on the website - everything is done direct with Tesla.
They have a shop in the Westfield at White City (London) if you're in that area.

Test drove a Tesla S P85 this week, not the European spec though as i don't think there is one available for test driving at the mo - Was a LHD one i drove. Think it is getting Euro NCap testing at the moment. I have got some leasing details, will dig them out later and let you know.

I believe if you ordered one today then looking at June/July 2014 delivery but the first cars should be delivered Q1.

They will be opening a Manchester Showroom/Service centre early next year too.

Only example leasing figures i have are for the 60KWh Model S with Tech Pack, Leather, Parking Sensors but based on 15k PA. On a 3 year contract hire, Comes in at nearly £900 inc maintenance (maintenance element about £100 which is quite a bit for something that needs very little, but does include tyres). Based on paying a £4k deposit to Tesla.

Contact Mike at www.fleetdrive-electric.com If you want a quote based on your mileage and spec as I think they are the 1st company to offer contract hire.

Update to the below - I recently confirmed my spec for the Model S and have been told by Tesla that mine will be in the first batch for UK delivery arriving end of May 2014.
