I've just driven 3000 miles or so across Europe. I was able to drive at 80mph quite safely. But once I've gone through the Channel Tunnel, my ability to drive reduces and I'm restricted to 70. Odd...

Yep. It's like when people come into a hospital here in the U.K, for whatever reason, and suddenly their legs completely stop working and they have to be taken, absolutely everywhere, within the confines of the hospital on, at the very least, a wheel-chair by a Porter!

True enough.

But 3000 miles in Europe showed me just what a bunch of wan***rs the drivers in the UK are. And how poor the standard is.
