I know someone who did exactly this (although proper Range Rover and 911 Turbo), but it was in Cornwall so its not just restricted to Chelsea.

I had the pleasure of finding my Hawkeye Impreza STi Spec-D with a damaged rear bumper after leaving it overnight in Kensington. I watched the woman park her Range Rover behind it (from a distance), nervously, then I left, thinking it was safe. The next morning I found that, despite front and rear PDC, she had managed to ride up on the rear bumper. The way the damage was all on the top part of the bumper all but confirmed it was her.

No note, no nothing.

This was sent to me my sister by a friend of hers - as my sister was around the corner, 10 minutes later, she went to see if the cars were still like that and they were.

So however did it, can't have realised their mistake- which makes driving more scary than usual!
