Cars you would love to own but don't know why...
Discussion
I normally choose my cars based on a combination of styling and performance and maybe practicality since I've had a family but these fit none of my criteria.
Audi A2 TDI

I vaguely remember having a drive in one and it wasn't that great, very expensive to repair but it was quite ahead of its time. Very economical, light and spacious for its size and quite cool I think, which you can't say about many Audis.
Jeep Wrangler and Land Rover Defender 90

Plenty of 4x4s would suit me better i.e. faster, better handling, more practical, cheaper, more economical, more comfortable etc but these two are both iconic designs and certainly back up their tough looks with their off-road ability whilst making all the other 4x4s look a bit girly.
Ram 1500 Pickup

I've never needed a pickup and don't see why I would start needing one now but every time I see one of these I want one! Possibly a combination of the rugged looks and the V8 Hemi, which incidentally is hideously thirsty!
Air-cooled VW Type 2 Camper
Hired one of these for a long weekend in Devon and Cornwall and loved it but as a day-to-day proposition, the heater doesn't heat, it's very thirsty, not very reliable and takes an age to get anywhere. I would love one but am unsure as to how often I would actually use it!

The A2 is one of mine.
When I was buying my first car I was looking for a good example but didn’t come across any. High driving position, economical, grown up but kinda’ different. It is definitely the most ‘me’ car.
Every time I see one parked up I can’t take my eyes of it. Such a good looking car.

Something proper old-school (i.e pre-Glasnost) Eastern European; Gaz, Wartburg, Trabant, etc. The seed was planted by an episode of the Simpsons when Homer bought a car from Crazy Vaclav's Place of Automobiles that would 'go 300 hectares on a single tank of Kerosene'!
"Put it in H!"Love that episode.
'Love' is probably too strong a word, but I have a strange attraction to a car that all logic tells me is the ultimate dull, soulless appliance: The current Toyota Avensis. I can't really explain it, there's nothing at all to make it remarkable and by all accounts it's uncompetitive versus its immediate competitors, but in estate form especially there's something about it that makes me like it. It's inexplicable.

Suzuki Jimny - no idea what draws me to them so much! Love 'em!
Octavia VRS Estatte - fast and fun with room for all the family, pets and luggage... but I have no family - I'm 21!!
Nissan Leaf - I hate myself for liking them!
Yeah I'm 21 too and would love an octavia vrs estate! I'd also love a 330d touring, no idea why, and my gf would hate the old man look!Octavia VRS Estatte - fast and fun with room for all the family, pets and luggage... but I have no family - I'm 21!!
