As per the title, it's nearly the year end so how about a thread to describe your motoring / car year in pictures? I'll post some when I get home to my laptop but I thought I would kick the thread off smile

Kind regards,

Matt

Started the year with this (after selling my subaru to pay for a wedding):

Changed it as a direct swap for this (330d auto - good for the motorway + pooch):

then reduced the pain of selling the impreza by going into joint ownership of an mx-5 track slaaag:

currently very happy with the two motors. Quite like the bmw - it has fake wood in the dash etc.

Had the 9-3 Aero at the start of the year:

Then had it remapped. Turned it into quite the runabout smile

Got fed up of the wobbliness of the chassis and the vibration through the suspension. Sold it in June to part fund the 9-5 Aero:

Which is more comfortable, and can still produce a nice turn of speed if I want. It'll also be getting remapped biggrin

12,000 miles so far this year. I don't believe in garage queens!

Picked it up:

Took it to North Wales in the snow!

I have some other pics that I'll add later smile

Bought this

had it 6 weeks then this happened

It appears I had a dodgy fuel line frown

Luckily the insurance payout was pretty good and allowed me to upgrade from that 280 to this

Which is a much better car, has a v8 and sounds epic. biggrin

But I needed to clear space in my garage and sort my finances out a bit so this had to go frown

January

February

April

August

You get the picture, no meets, trips or trackdays.
No dramas either though, one service and a few thousand miles of fun.

Our 1.8 Vectra in what was a very special spot back in July:

6,000ft + up on the Gran Sasso National Park in Southern Italy.

This month, the Vauxhall is going back to the dealer as the PCP expires. It's being replaced with my FiL's old car:

To be my first proper smoker (in its literal sense) barge smile

Started year fed up with this:

Seemed like a good excuse to buy one of these:

But, that wasn't the tool to go to Italian lakes

Pretty decent summer here too!

Two weeks later flew back to see some cars here:

Managed to see a car or two here too

..and my old rusty trusty gt through another year

So, overall a pretty good Pistonhead type year. biggrin

Started off with this, which was rapid and great entertainment but..

I got bored of only being able to have fun in a straight line so bought this..

Stuck on some new coilovers and Cerbera wheels..

And did loads of driving without any issues, which will continue all over winter. Another one of those unreliable TVRs biggrin

I sold this...........

.......and bought this..........

I also sold this.........

I didn't think that I'd ever sell the Hawk. But, I'd hardly driven it the past two years. It felt the right thing to do at the time. And, three months on, I know that it was. Though, I really didn't enjoy seeing it being trailered away. frown

Pass of the Cattle, Rumbled (again): my Venerable E34 540, on the long way round to Skye once more for a few days walking - March:

October - view out from the Fisher Fury on an impromtu blat way, way out into the Brecon Beacons after a PH-SW meet at The Salmon. Cold day, bright sun, big grins:
