Autocar Drives Porsche 918 Spyder - Video
Discussion
Have to say that the more I have seen and heard about the car, the more I have come to really like it. I really wasn't a fan at first but every time something new is released about it, it just seems to get better and better.
Really can't wait to see a group test with this, the P1 and La Ferrari. My gut instinct tells me that the Ferrari with the stupid name will get a bit of a spanking though. All the reviews/hearsay suggest that Porsche and McLaren have pushed the boundaries beyond anything that has been imagined before in a road car.
On a side note, it does thankfully seem that Top Gear/Jeremy Clarkson got it wrong at the end of Series 13: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Q0Svvdrx_E

Watching the lap behind the 911 T, even with Rohl at the wheel, I can't help but think the P1 would monster past it.
I think the P1 probably would, but that 991, allegedly with Walter at the wheel, didn't look like it was pushing hard and the 918 didn't really look like it was more than 60% committed at any point either, though I accept that with it's pure focus on monster performance, the P1 is likely to be the quickest of the bunch. I do love this 918 though, the exhaust exits on the top deck of the car are perhaps my favourite single design or styling element on any car, they just look amazing, and the rest of the car just seems blessed with greatness too.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
