First project car

[JRGnorthfield]

I am looking to buy myself some sort of project car but I have absolutely no clue what to look for. I want too buy something old which need a lot of work doing too it but still a car that can be made into something mad.
I would love old American muscle cars but living in the UK these are impossible to find and if you do there a fortune.
Im a student so I only have about £1000 to spend on buying the car.

I want something which can be modified a lot and look angry.

Ive looked into old BMW E30s, MK2 escorts and similar cars.

anyone got any ideas of any cars I should look for? Im at the point where I just want something to build now.
