We've got a couple of GPS units which no longer stick to the windscreen - the rubber has dried out and good old-fashioned spit doesn't seem to work any more.
The biggest problem is that we swap regularly between vehicles, otherwise I'd be tempted to glue them in place.
Anyone got any good suggestions? (I've tried google but the results I got, while "interesting" weren't that useful.

I have found glass cleaner quite good at making them stick again (clean glass and rubber)
But now I use a beanbag mount which had mount stuck on for a year before falling off (it seems quite secure on dash - well except full throttle from rest)

try caraselledirect.com for a CD slot mount holder for the sat nav
I have 2 of these. Got one at a car show but was so good that i sent for another one for the other car. I know you said the sticky has gone but you could glue permanently onto the flat holder bit. £10 excellent value and was voted best british invention of 2011. You can still play CDs whilst it just sits in the CD slot. Of course you need to have a CD player in the car........
