What is there purpose in life?

Hertz have imposed one on me for the day. I've probably spelled it wrong as I only looked at the name once. I had no real interest in finding out what it was.

Diesely diesel (I don't mind diesel unless it's crap diesel), short gearing, gearbox which did not like 6th. Hit 4th numerous times instead. Cheap (unbelievably cheap) trim, and a footrest which took please in trapping my shoe.

The key said it all. You normally get a nice chunky key (even with say a ford), the Nissan version looks like something from the early ninety's.

A please to get in my 11 year old MB tonight.

ETA - an Asthmatic Heater also.

I had one as a hire car in Mallorca. I quite liked it. This may have had something to do with being on the wrong side of the car, or just that it served its purpose brilliantly on that particular trip (I ordered a Focus and a Fiesta for 6 adults - we got a 7-seat Cashcow and a B-Class).

I'm knackered. Clearly too knackered to write straight.

You should think yourself lucky you didn't get a Toyota Auris like I did last time I got a hire car.

They seem popular, to me though it doesnt grab me in any way, shape or form.

Quite like the Juke though.

My mother-in-law has one, I therefore hate them.

Do not question my logic.

Every time I see a Quashqai on the road I think it looks like a a Porsche Cayenne mkii - from the back it's the rear lights .

I suppose they are reliable inoffensive family transport & they keep a lot of people in the North East in work.

Believe it or not, some cars aren't designed to appeal to petrolheads and are in fact aiming for that extremely niche "family" market. Hope that answers your question.

I sat in one the other day and thought it was actually quite a ncie place to be. It was the top spec one and it really did seem to have every toy imaginable.

Can't comment on how it drives mind.

I've never got the appeal of the Kumquat; it's bland, not that big inside and the interior is nothing to write home about using many generic switches that look like they are from the 90's, much like many Japanese cars seem to use.

The true, ultimate purpose of the Qashqai is to make Nissan money. Which it does very well.

Having driven one what does it do better than focus, golf etc?

Only appeal I can see is it's higher of the ground. Women like that...

Really? I'd guess most people wouldn't know it's built here.

I had a petrol one for three years, dreadful in the snow, transformed by winter tyres, you're correct with the heater it is poor. Was actually not a bad car all in all, appears to be loads on the road, presume a lot of them are leased.
