AIM Data logging system

Looking for some help/advice on AIM product firmware updates i have purchased a race car with the AIM mxl dash which needs a firmware update and every time i attempt this my windows based laptop pops up with windows does not know what created this file ???? i have tried everything adobe ect
any one know where I'm going wrong ??? thanks...
