It had a rate higher than all other cars and about twice as high as the next scoring sports car.

First of all that's American and therefore not indicative of Europe...and secondly, that's talking about probability of being killed in one, and doesn't actually discuss the safety of the car. The two do not have to exist exclusively if the car is regularly driven by a certain type of driver, involved in particular situations etc. If all the crashes of a 350Z or a Titan are high speed, then of course there's going to be a higher chance of being killed. The equivelant of the Daily Wail reporting style that piece...
The one car that surprises me there is the Nissan Titan! What is the problem with the car or ownership demographic? I guess the 350Z is a popular boy racer/street racer car so I understand that because of the reckless speed. The Chevrolet Aveo is a popular young persons first car or first new car so I get that because of the driving inexperience and ignorance of mortality. Why the heck is a Titan 'dangerous' though?! Possibly it has a design flaw that's been covered up by the manufacturer 'Fight Club' style!
I guess it handles or grips badly when trying to avoid a crash or rolls over in crashes more easily than other cars?
