My time with a misunderstood car: Chrysler Crossfire

Another thread on PH last week got me to go out and get one of these:
Got it cheap for £2750. A lot of car for the money! "Fully loaded" 3.2V6 that sounds awesome! 0-60 in 6.5s and lots of torque. I'm just a normal dude so not got access to Porsches and Ferraris and can only go on what I've driven defore.
I love this car. It looks great from every angle apart from the infamous squatting doq angle. If there was any car that suffered at the hands of Clarkson, this was it. Watching his review, it came across as very racist. He clearly hates germans and americans so this would never had been given a fair chance...luckily I went with Tiff Needles opinion!
The car's design looks barely aged and still looks pretty modern. It looks very purposeful and has a great "stance" thanks to 18" wheels at the front and 19" at the rear! Such a small car as well. Really gives you a "I'm Batman" effect when driving around thanks to the seemingly long bonnet and barely anything behind you!
Driving it around, I get people slowing down to look at the car...never happened when I had my TT. Quite simply, so far it's the best £2750 I've spent on a car!
I went for a manual instead of an Auto for more control. It's kinda notchy but has a short throw which is nice. Steering is nicely weighted but the car is clearly a cruiser as it has a nice smooth ride rather than an M-sport set up.
Leather seats are very nice and supportive and good quality and had barely any wear for a 9 year old car! Interior plastics are okay...the dash is a horrible glossy plastic...awful but I've learned to live with it. You can get a brushed aluminium kit for it which i'm considering!
Handling? I only drive on the road and not a track racer but it drives pretty nicely and is comfortable.
Basically the car puts a smile on my face when I drive it and when I park it up and walk away.
It's well built with no squeaks or creaks in the dash and the plastics have worn pretty well. It feels very very VERY german. Built like a tank. Basically an SLK underneath.
Bottom line...if you want a hot hatch...don't bother and get one of these babies instead!

Op looks to have a good deal,Not got any pictures of mine but it looks identical to that one. Spotless paintwork. Not even found a stone chip yet! Shines like new!
It does look like a squatting dog froma certain angle but great from every other angle.
This is the 330bhp one which solves that issue with a spoiler...the normal version has a cool motorised spoiler!

I have a soft spot for these, that is a lot of car for the money (nobody would argue if you said it cost double), I don't even mind the squatting dog angle, our dog treats me his Crossfire impression every time I sit and have breakfast in the kitchen in the morning.
Remember going in one my uncle had as a courtesy car and I thought it felt rather fast at the time, low point was a the Dixons stereo style centre console but other than that it seemed like a quality product that would run and run.
I think you are right about it being fine to drive, we have to remember there are guys on here with mega expensive cars so they look down upon stuff us mortals can afford when we find it actually rather good.
